So here's a crazy idea; what if the food is Walpurgisnacht Rising is poisoned? Like, it's designed by Homura to keep everyone in a complicit state where they don't ask too many questions.

And consequently, maybe that's why Sayaka looks like she's suffering all over again. She may not remember everything, but she did say she'd remember Homura's a devil, so maybe she can sense something is off and starting to see through the bullshit.

I don't know, it's probably not what's happening but it's just a theory I had while watching the latest teaser for the new movie and wanted to share it with you fine folks.

Almost forgot how the Yagyu drama in Lone Wolf and Cub makes the Fire Nation Royal Family drama (yes, even the sleazy details I work into my fanwriting) look absolutely tepid

Humorously enough, this family also involves a strict patriarch, a disfigured elder son he despises, and a younger daughter trained to kill with specialized combat techniques. Where it goes from there... well, i'm sure some darkfic has covered it before but it's about as bad as you think it could get, possibly even worse

This is a great moment. You can really tell that she feels like she’s, in some sense, losing Touko, despite her confident attitude toward Yuu. And feels like there’s nothing she can do about it.

Me, before watching Madoka Magica: This show looks interesting! I’ve heard it’s pretty heavy, but overall it’s supposed to be pretty good!

Me, over halfway through the series: *clutches chest* holy fuck.

And here we run into Sayaka’s problem. She thinks the logical thing is to just calmly help Touko through this crisis and get her back to how she was, basically before Yuu came. I think it’s be unfair and cruel to both Sayaka and Touko to say that her premise (that the Touko Sayaka knows best exists) is wrong, because that isn’t the big issue I see.The issue I see is that Sayaka isn’t presenting her with an actual choice, and by not presenting her with a choice you aren’t solving the problem.
