With that out of the way, some longer theories, elaborations, and ravings of things I've already stated under the cut:
Noelle is going to be the physical manifestation of or a stand-in for the Angel from the prophecy. I say this only because of the sheer amount of angel imagery surrounding her, from the childhood angel costume to her overall appearance in the dark world. There's also this:
"The Angel, banished, will finally meet with its desire." "Only they [Kris, Ralsei, and Susie] can seal the fountains and banish the ANGEL'S HEAVEN."
What if the "Angel's Heaven" is actually a dark world of Noelle's creation, and in it (among other things) is her version of a happy family where everything is okay and no one is missing and/or dying? What if the catalyst for this is Rudy's death?
"Chapter 5: The Field of Pink and Gold. — 'The vast garden is charred in an inferno of jealousy.'" "The Flower Man, trapped in asylum." These lines from Lord of the Hammer and the prophecy makes it clear that the ch.5 dark world is going to be in the flower shop, and that Asgore is going to be one of the villains. Divorce will do that to a man. There's also the fact that, In Noelle's house, you see Asgore admiring a black shard. Rather than be the main villain of chapter 5, I think he'll be the shadow crystal boss.
In relation to the core of the story, I think Asgore was the last person to see Dess prior to her disappearance. Since her disappearance was almost certainly related to the dark world, he must have seen something that he wasn't supposed to see, and no one believed him when he tried to explain what happened. Some suspect him of negligence, others suspect that he had a hand in it, and most think he's lost his mind. That's why he was let go from his position as police chief. He's determined to the point of obsession to clear his name and prove he's not crazy.
I don't think Undyne will appear in this chapter, but rather in Ch.6. I also don't think Asriel will appear in this chapter, outside of maybe a flashback, or he may show up at the end right as shit is about to hit the fan.
So, I've had this sitting in my drafts for months and figured now would be a good time to post it lol.
Random Deltarune headcanons I have to throw out there or I'll explode:
- Susie is a neglected foster kid. This is the only explanation that makes sense to me, because I don't think she'd willingly go to school--there's some sort of authority figure forcing her to go--but she clearly doesn't get enough to eat, and there's a scene that shows what could be her bedroom, which looks really run down and empty.
She moves around a lot because her foster families can't/don't want to deal with her.
- I also feel that Susie would be complaining specifically about her parents' neglect if that's who she's living with. With foster parents she barely knows and who will inevitably dump her on the next family sooner or later, neglect is just par for the course.
- The existence of Asriel's retainer means that he had braces when he was younger and I think a lot of people don't take that into consideration.
- Asriel was uncool and incredibly nerdy but very popular because he's nice and likable. Dess was cool but unpopular, a troublemaker who liked being loud and messy. She was very much like Susie in a lot of ways, except perhaps not so much of a bully.
- I like to imagine that Dess takes more after her dad, with dark hair and complexion, but also blue eyes from her mom. With Asriel, just judging by how he looks in Undertale, I feel like he would favor Toriel a lot more than Asgore.
- Asriel tried out cross country just to get a couple cool points and running is the only sport he's kinda okay at, but promptly quit after wiping out on the track (ripped cross country shirt in his drawer).
- Noelle gets her paranoia and her fear of/fixation on death/being killed from her mom. Carol's current demeanor of needing to lock down everything important and being hyper protective of Noelle is an escalation of this behavior.
- Ralsei is representative of everything Kris needs or wants to be: someone just like their brother. In particular, he represents the things Kris idolized about Asriel when they were little, someone who is kind, soft, comforting, and encouraging. Also, in case this needs to be stated, I believe that Ralsei is the red horns from Kris' childhood.
*Bonus* I truly hope Ralsei and Asriel meet in the dark world so we can finally get fluffy boy squared.
Someone made a Pride display at work and I decided to flip through a graphic novel about being asexual thinking it was gonna be cool and relatable. Oop, unfortunately it was too relatable and triggered my anxiety 🙃

I also need you guys to know that I'm a librarian and I'm in charge of the sci-fi/fantasy section. I'm finally the dragon asexual librarian I was born to be.
I finally watched Fionna and Cake season 2 and, to no one's surprise, I have thoughts about Finntress:
I love them.
I feel like their personalities complement each other very well. They're different in some ways, but for the most part they're very similar in their convictions and in their stubborn persistence. They're a force to be reckoned with.
It also makes a lot of sense for Finn--a very earthy and adventurous man--and Huntress--a protector of the forest whose wizardry revolves around plants--would gravitate toward each other.
I feel like Huntress is the only love interest that Finn has ever actually, truly respected as an equal. He doesn't idolize or obsess over her like he did with PB or FP, and he doesn't push her boundaries. They just have this mutual understanding and respect for one another that I really appreciate.
In extension, their on-and-off relationship makes a lot of sense in this context. Finn wears his heart on his sleeve, and I don't think he would have been satisfied with something so casual from anyone else. He's just happy to be around Huntress whenever she's there.
I love how Huntress' emotional vulnerability (or lack thereof) is represented through her mask. One moment that stands out to me is the scene where Finn says he's thinking of dying soon, and Huntress (sans mask) says "bummer! You're gonna forget all about me," while she lays relaxed against him. I don't think this is an exchange that would have happened in real life.
Also, Finn's "Never! Never." in response is just augh.
The way that Fionna assures Finn that Huntress loves him and the first person he sees when he wakes up is Huntress, smiling with tears in her eyes as she says his name, just makes me so happy.
Huntress definitely braided Finn's hair at the end of the last episode.
It's implied that Finn moved in with Huntress, which I of course love, but I also weirdly love that Neptr is there, as well. That's their son now lol.
It's crazy to think that Huntress was just a background character for most of the series.
The way Minerva says "my babies!" when Finn and Huntress turn out to be okay makes me 😭😊💕She already thinks of Huntress as her daughter, even though they've likely never had a significant interaction, if any.
As an ace, the way Huntress just stares at dream Finn when he says he loves her is so fucking real.
It's nice that, while Farmworld Finn is stuck in such a shitty timeline, at least he ended up with lovely family. On a more depressing note, I found the design for Farmworld Huntress to be particularly interesting.
Even though she has plantlike features, she's the only one who has human-looking hair. When Huntress drains the life from this version of herself, she turns to mud. Basically, my theory is that she is dead and buried in this world, and this is pretty much all that's left of her: brambles and mud. 🙃
4. "Exceptional beasts like us can't fall in love." Girl, if you only knew the lengths you'd go to save Finn. Traveling across dimensions, killing gods, almost dying multiple times, and forsaking her entire worldview, all for this stupid, blundering meat-sack.
5. I highly recommend "Soap" by The Oh Hellos as a Finntress song, particularly the whole middle part:

So, this is kind of heavy and complicated and I don't want to get too into it, but long story short, my mom's dad died today.
I don't refer to him as my grandpa because I hardly knew him and they didn't have a relationship for the last 20 or so years, but they did end up reconciling earlier today, before he went into heart surgery with the assumption that he probably won't make it out. Very bittersweet, now complicated even further because, shockingly, he left his house to my mom in his will. While it isn't technically my mom's yet--her dad's girlfriend still lives there--the second it is things will have to happen very fast for various financial reasons.
Basically, it's gonna come down to my mom transferring ownership to me, ownership of the house of this relative that I barely knew, and then immediately turning around to sell it, more than likely. I have no idea how to do a single one of those things and it's honestly so daunting and anxiety inducing. At the same time, it's also interesting, because we already live in my mom's childhood home that she inherited from her mom, and now she's inherited her other childhood home from her dad, but she can't keep them both and none of us make enough money to make it work.
Every day we learn of new horrors and atrocities, we're in constant fear of the future, and things aren't likely to get any better for awhile. Even after Dump is out of office, it will take years to dismantle what he and his supporters have done. These problems run so deep that they may never be resolved. Change is inevitable, it's scary, it's painful.
So, anyways, here's your reminder that, in spite of everything, the world is still a beautiful place full of beautiful life. Remember to look at the sky, listen to the birds, smell the flowers, kiss your pets, and care about other people. Love is revolutionary. ❤️
I've been big into Deltarune lately and I have so many thoughts about it that I don't even know where to start. I just want to say that:
Dess is very likely the Roaring Knight.
If not Dess, it HAS to be Carol. Also, it's worth mentioning that Carol has a katana hanging in her kitchen.
Either way, Carol is definitely in cahoots with whoever's behind all this. I'm also of the mind that she isn't doing this entirely for nefarious reasons. Either she's trying to help/rescue Dess and/or protect Noelle.
The shadow crystals are the key. I believe that they played a part in starting this and they will be necessary to finish this, if not the game proper then for sure to get the true ending.
I think the true ending involves rescuing Dess in some capacity, whether it's physically saving her or releasing her spirit. The weird route may involve legitimately killing her.
Side note, imagine manipulating Noelle into killing the Knight, only for it to be revealed to be Dess as she's dying.
The angel imagery surrounding Noelle makes me think she is--or is going to be--the embodiment of the Angel from the prophesy.
Basically, I think the prophesy says that Susie is supposed to kill the Angel in order to "banish the ANGEL'S HEAVEN." There's a reason why the prophesy emphasizes that "love finds its way to the girl," setting up for the "final tragedy."
I've seen theories that Susie is supposed to die, according to the prophesy, but what she says after seeing it really makes me think that's not the case. The way she says "and obviously YOU [Ralsei] wouldn't let it happen" makes me think she's referring to the violence of killing someone. She might not expect him to be able to save her from dying if her life was in peril, but she knows he would do everything in his power to stop her from killing someone else.
Bonus: In regard to chapter 5, I think it's obvious that the next dark world will be in the flower shop, likely created by Asgore, who will also likely be the shadow crystal boss. My main hope for this chapter is that they will make Undertale references lol. Just imagine he says THE LINE and a version of Bergentruckung/ASGORE starts playing. AUGH.
Given the state of the country, I'm becoming more and more convinced that I'd be better off dying than going into medical debt and all I can really do at this point is hope that nothing terrible happens lol.
ACNH had the NERVE, the absolute GALL, to come back after 4 years with a big new update to sink its claws back into me. You think you can just waltz in here with all this new shit and expect me to fall in love with you again? Well, you'd be 100% correct, I need it right this second.
It's honestly terrifying how deluded and brainwashed people have become to think that the cult leader in chief and his ilk are at all justified, let alone morally superior. They've truly lost any sense of humanity.
You should fucking care about other people. By default. The only exceptions are the people who use their significant power imbalance to harm those beneath them. You should care about minorities, people of different races and religions and identities. They teach this in kindergarten. Be kind and caring to other people. I'm so sick of the hate, the full mask-off Nazi behavior from so many conservatives, who then turn around and talk about how awful the left is. I'm sick of it. Have some fucking self awareness.
