I don't know about you but that legit looks like a scar. A scar that was stitched up. And it so happens to be on the same side as where the Protomateria ought to be in reference to his chest. Is this the new 'protomateria'? Does Vincent even have the protomateria anymore? What the hell did Hojo/Lucrecia do to Vincent's eye?? The horror implications... Yikes. While I don't think you'd need a cut below the eye to replace eyeballs (I'm no doctor), maybe that's just what they're trying to imply. As far as I recall from anatomy class, there's nothing in that area that would be useful unless it were slipped behind the eye or under. Either way... looks like they're going all in on the human experiment horror on Vincent. IF that is indeed a stitched up scar, that is.
