I actually feel sorry for Crowley, but now I feel awkward because Cowley is like the bad guy in this show and he has done some awful things. Supernatural just fuck with my emotions and my moral compass.

Okay, I just have to talk about this for a minute. Rewatching season 8 after seeing season 10 makes Crowley’s breakdown so much more heartbreaking. Because for that moment, he isn’t the king of Hell, he isn’t just becoming human. He’s the same wounded little boy whose mother used to dose him with whiskey until he fell asleep. The little boy who felt worthless because his mother tried to trade him for pigs, who never knew his father, who was unloved and abandoned by the only family he ever had. He didn’t want to be human not because he would lose his power, but because he didn’t want to have to feel that pain again. He breaks. And all he wants is to be loved. Like Sam and Dean.
