So I just went through some of my old shite writing from when I was nine years old to laugh about with @loquaciousnewt and found a genuinely interesting plotline about Chen the Cheerleader I came up with? Basically, I had this OC back then called "Ezume Carter," who was Chen's cousin, who recently moved back to Ninjago City to visit him after her parents died. With her arrival it was sort of a narrative catalyst for Chen, who in this plotline had family hurt directly from an attack by Garmadon/inadvertently had his family's buisness destroyed, resulting in all sorts of personal issues. He hates Lloyd vehemently due to this (as he's the closest scapegoat to blame for his misfortunes, of course). However, Ezume's arrival was supposed to make him reconsider his own grief about his family when attempting to help her process the death of her parents, and to do it in a more healthy manner other than in destructive ways to others? I have no idea what little me was thinking about greif, but I want to write it now, icl.
