First of all, nothing was his fault. Not a thing today was his damn fault. ( He still got blamed, though, thus drawing in that lovely temper. ) If the shark had been told there was so much paperwork involved with being a cop, he would’ve rolled his eyes because they never show cops doing paperwork, psh. As it would turn out, there’s always a shitton to complete. And, with a fairly busy cop like Rin? When he’s not busy delivering the paperwork, of course he’s putting his pen to it. ( It’s, to put it bluntly, annoying as fuck. ) But, he did it all. Everything was completed yesterday, that entire stack on his desk — one of the rookies was supposed to pick it up to drop it off in the correct box. And so, that in mind, the officer had left the station in quite a good mood the previous day. Of course, upon returning the next day, he was not quite as lucky. ( Guess who lost all of it? His, Sousuke’s, a vast majority of the department’s… ) The idiot. God, he wanted to murder the kid when he found out, but instead Captain Mikoshiba came to the newbie’s aid. ”You won’t mind filling out the paperwork again, will ya, Shark?” ( Yes I would, said marinelife wanted to reply, but bit his tongue and nodded instead. ) Cue another stack of paperwork, causing him to take longer at the office, causing him to call Nitori to cancel his plans to drop by the restaurant for lunch, causing him to arrive home later than he’d like for a night he wasn’t working a late shift. He doesn’t mean to make such a clatter when he arrives… but at the same time, he doesn’t care. ( Goodbye, shoes, jacket, and belt. They flop on the couch as he passes by. ) He hears the soft patter of feet behind him soon enough, not caring to acknowledge until he hears a soft voice. A grunt is the only reply, opening their bedroom door, shirt tossed carelessly towards the hamper as he enters the bathroom. Hands are already undoing his pants, not caring that the younger is there for obvious reasons. ( Like the fact that they lived together… and frequently had sex. Duh. ) "Shitty day. Don’t wanna talk about it right now. Gonna shower."
○ ○ ○ There was not a doubt in Aiichirou's mind that Rin was in a foul mood. he'd assumed so when he'd received a call from the officer, canceling his visit for lunch. Albeit the waiter had been looking forward to having his lover pay him a visit, there were clearly other matters he was in need to attend to. he didn't elaborate on what exactly had brought the venom tone to his voice and currently now, the anger in his stare... Anyone with eyes could tell bothering the shark would be unwise.
Maybe that's what Ai's problem was; he wasn't wise. But may he be damned if he didn't check upon his partner despite his foul mood. When Rin had arrived home, Nitori was making himself some tea and was about to indulge himself with a selection from Netflix. The smaller noted how he'd deposited several articles of clothing here and their in their living room as the elder stalked a straight path to their bedroom and into their bathroom. Perhaps it would have bothered most to have a mess made where clothes shouldn't be... But then again, Ai wasn't like most. Rin was the neat one - not Ai.
A slim shoulder pressed itself against the bathroom entry frame, keeping a keen distance from his lover as he plunked remaining articles from his body. Eyebrows drawn taught and a frown presented. He hadn't even been greeted... or looked at for that matter. Surely it must have been a foul day. "Rin..." The duckling exhaled, stepping closer as the shark made haste with removing his trousers. "Rin, Look at me?"
