Matt Mason is the author of a great book and blog on piracy and the new multimedia market called “The Pirates Dilemma.” In the speech below, recorded during this year’s Pop!TECH conference, he discusses seven beneficial things that are the direct result of piracy (otherwise known as the enabler of abundance). The heart of Mason’s concept is this statement:
If you want to beat pirates, then compete with them.
