sharing awesome pope knowledge at work.  mainly that Renaissance popes  were the best because of hypocrisy, and that pope joan was an all-around badass.

that's kind of hard to find in older people in general, it would be especially hard to find in a traditional conservative catholic

and being against gay marriage does not mean you hate gay people and it certainly does not make you a bad person

so while of course it would be wonderful to have more acceptance of lgbt people in the church it is not going to happen soon nor do i think it is even possible at the time even if there were a lgbt friendly pope, he's not like a complete ruler he cant just declare gay stuff is cool like that wouldnt happen?? and it would be a gradual thing that i think will happen but not so much now nor do i think it is the right time to really push the issue now

tbh i think the catholic church has more important things to deal with right now and things like gay marriage, birth control, abortion, w/e is better left to the government

idk maybe it's cause comparatively to tumblr im pretty conservative but i dont see how these things make a bad pope

now the stuff about the kidnapping and stuff about the dictatorship w/e sounds really worrisome and i hope at least he's good person now but hey he could be totally bad im just really hoping he's not

but w/e i honestly have no actual information then the little ive seen on tumblr and heard on the news so i really cant have an opinion i just happen to feel strongly about the pope cause i mean traditional mexican catholic family yeah
