In hindsight, Popmas demise is understandable, the market for puzzle games is heavily saturated and we're talking about one whose main differential appeals to a super specific niche...
But as an imas fan, it truly was nice to have a crossover game like this one, that involved all the five branches. We do have Starlit Season but there is a budget and a limit of what can be done, and I understand why they limited it only to the girls and only choose a few from the different imas branches... I guess that's one of the things that made popmas special, having a more simplistic structure compared to the other games, allowed for not only the cast from all the branches to be included, but many of the unvoiced girls from imas cg to get their time in the spotlight as well. It was also a nice alternative to the casual players who like the characters and songs but aren't interested in the rythm games.
They were also always making streams and promoting it, so its kinda sad to see it go so soon. It was a neat fun little game for what it was and the thing that pushed me to get invested in SideM so I'll always be grateful for that.
Hopefully one day we'll get another crossover game with the five branches together.
