I just wanted to say Thank you to my Poppa George for making me all these goodies while I was visiting. I found a perfect spot for them for now. Right by one of our silly pictures on the mantle. Everything I see Poppa make, I want one. Makes it hard for him to sell anything.🤣😂🤣 But seriously, I had so much fun and learned so much about wood and carving while I was there it's really amazing how #woodcarvers take a piece of wood and turn it into something so amazing and so detailed and so beautiful. No it's not perfect like a store bought item that are factory made by the millions but that's what makes it special. No one else has the exact carving you do. Poppa George prides himself on making each piece unique in some way. All the ornaments & collectibles I have will last years and years so that Michael & I can pass them down to our boys one day we hope. Keepsakes like this don't come around everyday. And the time spent with Poppa George doesnt happen often either. I'm so grateful for the days we got to spend and visit with one another. Times like those are priceless. Poppa George got on a tiny carving roll yesterday evening. In the end we had a tiny goblet, wine carafe, and extra small vase. These are made out of the wood of an orange tree. I never knew the wood of a fruit tree could look so beautiful. 🤩 I watched him turn these. It's really amazing watching him create all these things that start as a limb or log. I love it!❤❤❤ I've had so much fun learning more about what he does and how he does it. Theres just not enough time to fit in everything this trip but I'll start making a list for my next trip. 😁 Poppa George will probably need a vacation after I leave. 😂🤣😂🤣 I haven't seen one thing Poppa can't make yet.
