Merry Christmas!

What do you mean it's not Christmas?

It's still December!

But for real, this was a Secret Santa I made in a server I'm in this year, for @masterofthenova!

I just forgot to post this lol.

Shoutouts to Nova, by the way.

She's awesome. These are her characters Cibil (left), Ash (middle(kinda)), and Decay (right). They're AU versions of Poppy, Dusted, and Rust. They're peam.

This was actually a lot of fun to make. It's fun to design Christmas outfits for characters, I need to to it more. And I'm quite pleased with the end result. It came out pretty much as I imagined it, which is always awesome.

I also made a drawing to celebrate today as not only New Year's Eve, but also as the birthday of my good friend Proctor Dorkchop!

Papaveraceae

Hey guys, Dragon8er here!

This is an interesting one.

I had an idea one day.

"What if I combined all the different AU versions of Poppy from Omega Timeline: Poppy's Story?"

And so I did.

This.

Is Papaveraceae, AKA Poppymalgamate. Named after the family of flowers that Poppies belong to.

This design was actually inspired by The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli.

A painting depicting the Greek Goddess Aphrodite as she rises from the clam in the sea she was created from.

It's also inspired from a sculpture I once saw that was a bunch of humans stacked on top of each other, but for the life of me I can't find it again.

I figured these inspirations were fitting of the sorta deific/tragically beautiful vibe I was going for.

I also really wanted to give each of the Poppies in this a different expression representing different pains. Like they're all being tortured in different ways.

This was also the 3rd design I made.

The first had more of a cryptid vibe. I didn't finish it 'cause I didn't like how it was going.

The 2nd design was a bit more vague and weird.

I like it enough, but ultimately I liked the third and final one the most.

It was very hard to make (you can imagine the struggle of trying to combine 12 different designs) but ultimately I like how it all came together.

I got some other small stuff in the works.

And new Undertale: Monochromasis pages will be coming soon, trust me lol.

Charcoal vs Chloe

Hey guys, Dragon8er here!

This was for an art trade with my good friend @aurora-borealie!

A fierce battle between her OC Chloe, and Charcoal!Poppy. This was a whole lotta fun to do. I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

...Mostly.

I wish Chloe's posing was stronger. But eh. It is what it is.

Happy Birthday, CHAOS!

This is a piece I made a while ago for CHAOS_FANTAZY's birthday over in the OTPS Discord Server.

Never posted it, so I figured I may as well do so.

Featuring their AU Poppy, Sketch, from Poppy: Torn Asunder, versus my AU Poppy, Charcoal.

This was a TON of fun to make. Seriously.

And I'm VERY happy with the end result.

OH I HAVE SO MANY. in a lot of ways the book feels like it was written just for me. im a goth gay vampire and 90s obsessed weirdo so its exactly the kind of thing i love reading. i think i was 14 or 15 when my mother gave me her unread poppy a brite books (she's also a goth vampire weirdo) and ive read them so many times now it's imprinted on my memory. brite has such a way of writing romance and trauma. he's an amazing worldbuilder too. you can see each location perfectly and see characters with impeccable detail. and lost souls is just ... so sad. its honestly very late 80s- early 90s for it to be so depressing and nihilistic. t's all about the cycle of trauma and abuse and only ghost and steve get out (kinda) clean. the way family and pain is weaved together is so ingenious and poetic. zillah is a fantastic villain. he's so fun to read bc hes so ceaselessly evil. ghost and Steve are the couple of all time. nothing breaks my heart I want to just carve into the narrative and save him from himself. I will always be angry that Christian died. literally should not have happened bc he spends the entire story getting shit on and abused by literally everyone until he meets nothing and finally has an equal and someone thay doesn't want to use him and BAM hes dead. also i HATE the epilogue. out of the 12 or so times i read lost souls ive only read it twice. I think it completely undermines the good ending. like Steve and ghost are fucked in the head but otherwise safe and loved ............ oh and nothing is horribly depressed and basically the new zillah with no hope no prospects no anything. hes basically the walking dead. the lollipop twins are there too. the end.
