pop and stud parallels:

both infatuated for Years with a man (sam and earth, respectively):

who doesn’t give them the time of day

who has always been assumed to be Good but is no better than anyone else

to the extent that they’re convinced he is the only one who ‘understands’ them/believes they can be more than others assume (both stud and pop have literally said this)

so that it doesn’t feel like they will have a chance with anyone else because they’ve grown convinced that they aren’t easy to love outside of this one man’s lackluster attention

disguise their loneliness and desire for genuine connection with snark and an uncaring demeanour

why they would be good together:

they’ve never felt like anyone’s favourite person, so they have that in common

they’re used to feeling lonely and being together would help to heal that

rather than getting mad at one another for their individual faults, they’d be able to recognise the same in themselves and reflect accordingly to be understanding with each other

although stud was mostly stringing pop along with the whole ‘im a good listener’ shtick, he actually would be a good listener to pop and pop in turn would open up more, as well as wanting to then be a good listener for stud

stud really wants someone to settle down with, he craves that security, and so does pop

together they would be able to move on from the hurt and rejection they’ve faced because of earth and sam and realise that it’s possible to find someone who chooses you as much as you choose them :)

Ok I had to go look at that relationship chart... So Sam has had sex with everyone at the table... and Stud has had sex with everyone at the table. But Earth and Pop haven’t? Is that correct? Is Pop just here to get in Earth’s pants and complete the web... and is it because he thinks Earth is cute (he is) or is it because he doesn’t want the sex web to be incomplete? Does he want an orgy? Does he just want drama? All of the above? Somehow I’m leaning towards all of the above being the correct answer. Also heard he still has a crush on Sam maybe (ewww)? -💖💕💖
