Listen, a truly bizarre number of Thai BL fans have become downright creepy about the Top/Bottom dynamic in the imaginary couples, and it's enormously off-putting to me. And this is still a relatively new phenomenon, evidenced by KristSingto having to explain to fellow veteran "SOTUS" actor Gunsmile how "strict" fans have become about the Top/Bottom order to the point of fighting over it.

KristSingto never used to have a Top/Bottom order and themselves said it didn't matter and fans could ship whatever order they wanted, but a loud, toxic portion of Peraya fandom threw tantrums when Kit was the top in "The Ex-Morning," going so far as to @ GMMTV, the director, and KristSingto themselves to demand they switch Singto to the Top as they preferred. It got so egregious that when "Write You Again" was announced during the showcase, KristSingto literally had to say that Singto would be the top this time, and their fans screamed with joy.

Like, I don't want to have to pull my Professional Queer Person card, but this fixation is weird, and so are all the people who show up in various comment sections like, "omg, hi, I'm new! Please tell me: who fucks who?"

I don't call this fetishizing, because it's more than that. It's dehumanizing, because when you care more about whose penis is going into whose hole, then these actors stop being people and become dopamine devices.
