Detail of the glass and the inset pop-up power and data points that ensure simple and seamless audiovisual connectivity whilst using this boardroom table in a meeting. The top is made from two consecutive planks taken from an enormous English ash tree. Between them, a custom cut piece of blue toughened glass follows the natural contours of the tree. Each plank measure 5m x 650mm. If you know wood you know how rare and massive that is! A third plank was used to make the legs and a hidden structure underneath that keep the table rigid. All this from a fraction of a single tree.
