Bringing the smoking pipe to her lips, she looked down upon the town that had once proved to be overbearingly power. This was simply all that was left ---- a withering little place for failing farmers to try and prosper with rich soils. The once famous Iron Town was, simply put, a ragged little place now, under constant threat of lords and nobles trying to invest better in the lands. If only the young Lady could pull it all together, somehow doing more than simply trying to keep the citizens alive. To accomplish all that her foolish mother, Lady Eboshi, had died without even dreaming of doing.
Winter seemed to be approaching much quicker than she had initially believed. Already, the tips of flowers were lightly frosted, the skies bringing nothing but murky clouds and the dreaded snow. Pathetic. It was all so damn pathetic. The little society that had been thriving so vibrantly in the past was now relying on other villages for support, living solely off the pity of people hungry for the benefits of the land.
