What is your biggest art fear?…mine is portraits I turn down portrait commissions all the time because of fear. Many years ago I was going through a crisis and decided to do an oil painting outdoors everyday for a year like Van Gogh. I lived near Greystone the famous asylum where Bob Dylan visited his hero Woody Guthrie and I painted all around this historic facility and periodically the grounds keeper would watch me paint and one day he asked me to paint him and his family and out of fear I said no and I always regretted that decision…imagine’ Groundskeeper at the Asylum’ #artfear #portraitpainting #portratdrawing #davidbowie #pdxartist #portlandartist #gregoryhergert (at Southeast Portland, Portland) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmhM1dnPBcn/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
