The Portula manifesto

Latula is a steotype of a radical gamer girl and this persona is only a little off from who she is truly, porrim and karkat are the only two characters to mention or notice this. Latula does actually drop the act when porrim asks her, implying an already existing trust. Porrim talks to her about how this rad girl act is ultimately detrimental to her and the cause she supports. Latula seems to take this advice quite well. Porrim then says they should hang out more. This might more of a pale solicitation than a red one, nonetheless the care is clear.

These two being in a red or pale relationship would expand their reach of people they can connect with. Talking more with porrim can give latula a mini break from the full-time-job that is being mituna’s matesprit. We are told that mituna has been moirails with Kurloz, and therefore should be able to take care of him when latula isn’t available. Porrim has two other main connections: her ex and Kankri. Porrim has the job of corralling and correcting Kankri, a fruitless endeavor. Porrim and Areana used to be close enough to be a red item but not any more. Porrim needs someone who isn’t in need of help, and I think latula could be that someone.

Latula and porrim bounce off Each other quite well and, unlike most other relationships in this text, don’t need each other to stay sane. This lack of desperate need is probably refreshing for both of them. They would be good for each other, but they don’t need to be in any kind of romantic relationship to be happy healthy full individuals.
