Few people have asked what I do to prepare for races / obstacle course races.Spartan specifically. So I'll break it down for ya. Money, Wednesday and Friday up at 5:30am. Down to the pool for a swim. I pump out 1000 meters those days. It starts my week off strong and finishes it strong. Helps with not only my energy. But keeps me limber. The rest of the week I'm up around 6:00 - 6:30. I rock either a 5km run or 10km walking loop. Dog walk Cold Shower Coffee and chill time Some sort of workout at home. Usually kettlebells or burpees. Stretching Daily tasks and chores Work If I'm off I'll go for a longer walk, run, bike ride or hopefully a round of golf. Gym usually after work for strength training, obstacle course racing targeted workouts. Depending on how the effort I put in during the day. If I'm tired I'll have a beer and relax with friends. Days off are almost always spent doing higher performance activities and training. Weight vest hill repeats, 40km plus bike rides, longer runs, 25km plus hikes/walks. 45 years old And I feel amazing everyday. I put in the work not only in my personal training preparation but in my job as well. I enjoy life, have great confidence and energy and a positive mental attitude. If you don't think you can do something I'm telling you. You can. Push yourself, take pride in yourself and be accountable. #positivementalattitude #posativelifestyle #beabeast #srcba22 #spartancanadaambassador #spartan #spartanrace #spartancanada #spartracecananea #beyourbestself #OCR #obstaclecourseracing (at Red Deer, Alberta) https://www.instagram.com/p/CgABIm8ra0t/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
