Aw man thank you so much for responding to my ask about brushes, majority of artists gatekeep that shit lmao. I do have one more question for you, do you use model references for your drawings? And if you do what’s a good source to find some?? I appreciate u ;-;
Such a weird thing to gatekeep! No problem at all. I love trading tools and techniques.
As far as references go, YES, I use them constantly. There are only a few instances in which I'm drawing poses straight from my noggin, and usually they're a little wonky (to my eye, at least).
I get most of my references from Pinterest (as is the long-standing tradition of most modern artists lmao), but accounts like AdorkaStock is also great for comic book and fantasy type poses (who I've been referencing for legitimately 15 years at this point).
There's also The Pose Archives, who are in the same vein, though they have less body type varieties to choose from. Much more classic comic book superhero type bodies.
Another resource is: myself! I'll pose for a lot of my own drawings, mostly to just have basic proportion references, perspective, or to work out a particularly complicated hand gesture.
Hope this is useful! And thanks again for asking.
