Finally finished this.

Gonna be honest, this was a real motherfucker to draw, from the character angles, to the bg, to the dam lighting, this was a nice challenge.

Despite the struggle it was, I love how it turned out, I love the lighting, the way the characters look, and even the over complicated bg

Also have the bg because I spent way too much time on it for it to be so obscured.

What if an au where Karasu's power, instead of killing her, corrupts Ray, bringing her down to Karasu's morals

Ofc so much would change, perhaps she would have stolen the MudWing crown and led the war. Maybe even allowing her and the RainWings to win the war.

She loses the people that were closest to her but who cares? They turned on her when she needed them most.

Poseidra ends up coming to Ray, not because she cares but to see what she has become. It's too late for Poseidra to forgive her.

Initially Ray is disinterested in Poseidra's presence and is even a little bit tempted to just outright kill Poseidra. But then she's reminded of the old crush she had on Poseidra.

Poseidra in no manner reciprocates. But that hardly matters. Ray has Karasu's magic, and thanks to her dragon soul can do the one thing Karasu never dared to do. She was able to control Poseidra. Make her do whatever Ray wants, even if it's something Poseidra would never want. Maybe even make Poseidra Queen with her.

Imagining a mall au with my sillies

Poseidra just works at the mall's aunt annies or cinnabon (an essential for any mall).

Karasu is no longer a evil queen but a rich, morally dubious, ceo who likes to harass innocent mall employees.

Ray, meanwhile, runs a big buisness with their adoptive MudWing family. She likes to go spend big money in the mall with her Gharial. They ocasionally stop by the aunt annies/cinnabon.

Perhaps Ray falls in love with Poseidra's minimum wage swag, perhaps Poseidra is tempted by the rich SeaWing who's been tipping quite generously. Nonetheless, Gharial sees the spark of chemistry and works to nudge things along until Ray finally takes Poseidra out to some high quality, michillen star resturant and things finally go from there.
