At some point in your life, you’re going to have to ask yourself which is worse. For me, this was the straw that broke the camels back. It was either continue to live every day on repeat like groundhogs day or get REALLY uncomfortable in order to see an actual change. - Just as a plane must take off in 2 dimensions in order for it to get off the ground, forward and upward, so must you. There is a reason why math is a universal language. We use it as a measure of time, growth, change. Take a look back at your life today vs where you were 3 months ago. Aside from the time that has moved forward, in what other dimension have you made progress? Have you gained more followers toward brands awareness? Has revenue increased? What about inventory? What about health goals? Has your weight changed? Have you lost some inches off your waist, ? - If there has been absolutely no type of numerical growth in your life in the last 6 months, it may be time re-assess your priorities. Start thinking of ways you can make realistic growth in any area of your life. - Ivy E. - #mindingherbusiness #motivation #reflection #bosswomen http://ift.tt/2oEeyHC
How long will you continue to say “eventually”,”someday”, or “soon” - when you know you are the one that determines how quickly “eventually” comes? If you feel you are not yet ready for change, then simply ask for the experience of preperation - but be prepared to receive it. To be groomed for change takes tests and trials, ups and down, hardships and failures. So you can either decide you are ready for change TODAY and start by doing something the SCARES you. Or you can continue to let life happen to you by perpetuating the reality you’ve always experienced, and everything you’ve only ever known. But I say, you are well prepared and equipped for better things, darling. You have it in you far more than you realize and it’s about time you start putting your money where your mouth is. Stop reading up on what you should be doing and start to actually do because contextual research can only take you so far. To get the full experience, to learn, to grow, to receive - you must DO as if it is DONE. Decide today that IT IS DONE. Claim today that I AM READY. Declare it! Change is ready for you! #mindingherbusiness #dailyinspiration #bosswomen http://ift.tt/2pHcT44

When we were young children growing into adolescence, everyone around us appeared like giants. Cuts and scrapes were the worst pain in the world and seemed to last forever. - We later learn the pain only lasts for a moment. Put a band aid over it, you’ll be fine. - When we became adolescents, we then experienced a new kind of pain & stress. Scrapes were the least of our concerns. We had peer pressure, puberty and "figuring us out", to deal with. Exams and social circles felt like the weight of the world on our shoulders. We thought for sure we wouldn’t make it out of high school alive. - We later learn to be ourselves, test scores don’t determine your future, and friends come and go. - As we became adults, cliques and tests were the least of our concerns. Student loans, bills, relationships, divorces, unplanned pregnancies, living situations, financial instability,… all became the weight we had to hold. - Don’t wait for your next stage in life to find your path before you realize that this storm you’re going through is absolutely no match for an ever-evolving being. - It is all in your perception. You were always well equipped to deal with any situation you’ve faced, you only had to see past your current situation to find your strength. See where you can and WILL be. Your hands are bigger beloved, you can carry so much more. - Your shoulders are broader my dear, the weight of the world can barely reach your collar. - If you could only see the storm above the clouds... #mindingherbusiness #bosswomen #reflection #happymonday http://ift.tt/2oQnf08
Throwback and excerpt from the @mindingherbusiness book: I’m sure you’ve seen this countless times before from many-of entrepreneurial accounts. Experiencing constant failure is inevitable however it is also incredibly valuable. If you truly wish to acquire a magnitude of success, you must realize that preparation must ensue for such acquisitions. - Each failure experienced may not seem like a “little thing” to you at the time, but it’s only when you’ve attained the BIG success do you realize how much that failure was needed. - Your best education comes from experience, and the only way you’re going to learn anything valuable is from experiences where you didn’t get what you expected. If we got everything right on the first try, we wouldn’t know the EXACT factor that was needed in order to make it succeed. More importantly, there would be no growth from that point on - considering you did something > you got something. You’ll most likely repeat the same process again with NO CHANGE to get the same results. However, your measure of growth would be nonexistent because you have no failure to compare it to. - If you’re familiar with marketing, you would know that it takes many failures in order to create a good campaign. There are a lot of factors involved, and the only way for you to create the highest converting campaign is to know what doesn’t work so you can do the opposite of that. - So DO IT, and fail. Don’t know the cause? Try again, fail again. Compare the two and see the common denominator. Still unsure? Try again, change a few things, fail again. See the commonality between the three. Keep going, changing, tweaking, and more importantly TRYING. The more failures you encounter, the more clarity you receive and ammunition you gain to create something UN-TANKABLE. - So if I am to leave you all with any advice today, TRY MORE so you can FAIL MORE. You’ll be glad you did. Keep doing it until you hit a breakthrough. Otherwise if you quit before you’ve hit that magnitude, you’ll just be left with a lot of unanswered questions. http://ift.tt/2mx3WsK
Silly girl, don’t you know that the better you become, the more you are in demand? Don’t you understand that the longer it takes for you to emerge, the more quality is being embedded within you? My darling, it takes 6 months to build a Rolls-Royce and only 13 hours to build a Toyota. Which would you rather have and which requires more work to acquire? - I don’t know about you dear, but I desire to be with the man who enjoys the finer things in life, and I am no 13-hour build. - It requires work on oneself to be able to afford the best of the best. And although I am not up for sale and don’t need your money, I am also not up for grabs to the lowest bidder. - The currency I accept is in tenacity, confidence, chivalry, wit, and perseverance. If you want me, prove it. Speak it, show it. Don’t play any games because darling my heart isn’t a casino, but if you try to gamble with what you think you can get away with, you’ll end up losing way more than what you started with. - I’ve worked too damn hard and too damn long to get where I am. I’ll be damned if I let just any Dick, Dan, or Barry get away with handling my precious time like dice on the street. - You’re a gem, sweets. Own it. Don’t rush into anything for the sake of having someone when you’ve worked so hard to become “The one” for you. - Remember that you’re not just looking for a mate for “just now” - You’re not just waiting for someone to hold your hand as you walk down the street, or in this era, hold your hand for a photo on instagram. You’re waiting for a partner in life. A man who’s no stranger to investment and delayed gratification. You’re waiting for the father of your future child. The son in law to your parents. The brother in law to your siblings. The uncle to your nieces and nephews. - Do you understand how deep this relationship goes? - Why then do we allow our standards to slip away when we feel that others are getting what we think we want. - Understand that as you are becoming the best version of you, your mate-to-be is becoming the best version of themselves. - A Royce for a Royce. - @ivyejam #mindingherbusiness http://ift.tt/2jtuxrG
