In honor of positive(blr), here are some of the writeblrs I’ve been following and why I enjoy their feed!
@yetmorestories consistently posts about their WIP Court of Lanterns, Court of Glass. Their cast of characters is filled with a plethora of unique people so it’s easy to find one that you just love. (I personally love Aidan, a nonbinary quiet librarian.)
@tranquilsuggestion lives up their URL and frequently reblogs and posts quotes that really capture a sense of calm and serenity with a dash of a little angsty romance every now and then. I love this writeblr for brightening my day without bringing me down.
@books-n-quotes is another great writeblr for quotes from a large variety of sources that I often use as inspiration for styling my lines.
@the-real-rg reblogs a lot of other WIPs and writing tips and also posts really good content/aesthetics for her own WIP Run Says the Devil. Run Says the Devil is a great fantasy read with intense characterization and worldbuilding and, if you’re looking to beta read, you can volunteer to help with RstD.
@kaafka is someone I’ve been following since before I got a writeblr on my personal account. She posts the most gorgeous aesthetics and quote. I also recently found out about her other accounts @wordtamer and @mxcbth which post personal writing and art pieces respectively.
@sulfurousdreamscapes posts really intriguing flash fiction type pieces that almost always draw you in with surreal atmospheres and quickly established characters that leave you wanting more.
@writings-of-a-narwhal generally posts a variety of writeblr related things as well. You get a good sprinkle of reading about their writing process balanced out by a lot of writing positivity and references.
@selfescaping posts really short but evocative passages. I think some of them are autobiographical as well so they definitely take advantage of their unique experiences and perspective on life.
@lifeinpoetry posts short excerpts/quotes from larger poetry pieces that are always gorgeous.
@caffeinewitchcraft was the first writeblr I followed and also the writeblr that got me on Tumblr. I binge read all of her stories in one night and then made my first Tumblr the next day to follow her. Her short stories are always clever, powerful, and well-written.
This is far from everyone I follow and enjoy reading from! I just got tired because it’s late at night. Please spread the positivity and give love to the writeblrs you enjoy!
