#Positive40
I've never been too big on the whole idea of giving things up for Lent. It was just never my thing. I love the idea of sacrifice, doing without, and perseverance at any time of year, but I've never been too committed to it during this time period.
But when my wife told me last night what she was going to try to give up for Lent, I didn't hesitate in volunteering to jump aboard her one-woman bandwagon.
So, for the next 40 days, she and I will attempt to cut back on and/or eliminate altogether negative commentary when it comes to day-to-day things that may cause us to roll our eyes or complain. Instead, we'll focus on reframing situations positively and picking out the bright spots and opportunities to grow.
I'll be trying to hold myself accountable in this fun little life experiment through social media using the hashtag #Positive40. If you want to join us, feel free!
