Our Creator surrounded us with beauty, but we have to look for it. Standing from a tourist's scenic point in Md, the colors of the skies, the mountains and the trees weave a magical beauty that mesmerizes. Someone else can look at the same pic and see nothing but trees.
How we feel about ourselves, the decisions we make, and the life we live is driven by our values and our perspectives, how we interpret what we see and experience.
I visited the Bahama's a few years ago-pre Pandemic. We stayed in a one bedroom condo. The balcony was outside the bedroom. When you walked into the bedroom and looked out the window, there were rock piles, concrete blocks, and a couple pieces of big equipment in the yard next door. Initially, I saw that view and was really blown.
After I unpacked, I went out on the balcony and looked 90 degrees to my left, and there was a spectacular view of the ocean. I never would've seen the oceanic view if I had not gone out on the balcony to see it.
Sometimes we have to move closer, dig deeper, study more to see what looks like an insurmountable challenge from a different perspective. Look for the beauty. Look for the good. You'll find it.
I look for it every day.... I've seen and see it.
