Ancient lore?

“While me and Button were out looking for more posslins to put up for adoption, we came across a rather strange looking one. It was very big, too big to be a normal posslin, too big to be an adult posslin. It had webbed ears, wings, large canines… I couldn’t get a picture of it, as Button hissing at it caused it to runaway, but I sketched it, exactly what I saw. With the little knowledge I know, I can tell you that the Ancient posslins hold Poison in their top canines, not used to hurt, but to protect itself, and that they have many different types, like insects, ocean types, even ones that fly. I’ll keep looking and do more research, but for now, enjoy the sketch.”

Introducing the Sprigg!

A creature concept that I have had sitting in my brain for awhile now and finally did a design for. Depending on if anyone is interested I may make adopts for them.

This drawing is a generic Sprigg just to showcase the basics of the species. Actual adopts will have more color and character to them!

Name: Sprigg

Classification: Tree Spirit

Habitat: Old Forests normally in the northern hemisphere

Habits:

*they live in the trees in large nest like constructs. They look like primitive, woven baskets suspended in the trees.

*normally they live in smaller family groups and are quite intelligent

*they have a love of shiny and colorful things and will have a separate nest(s) nearby dedicated to holding their treasures

*they are mammalian and carry their young to term before then carrying them for upwards to 6 months

*after this time the young are developed enough to move around on their own and begin learning how to hunt and make their own nests.

*they make chirping and clicking noises as a form of communication

Omnivores- these creatures are known to eat small mammals, birds and reptiles as well as forage for roots, berries and other edible plant matter.

Before I make my third batch, there’s something you should know about the posslins! I’m gonna let the founder explain!

There are two known species of the posslins, one as you’ve seen are the burrow backs.

The burrow back posslins are the ones I am always seeing. They use their hollow claws to burrow in the ground to make dens, hence the name. But I recently found a second species that’s been hiding from me for a while now. They are… a more antisocial species. They are called the clingtailed posslins. Unlike their cousins, Clingtails have more of a possum like tail, used to cling to branches. They are significantly smaller and less likely to approach a human. It’s still not know on the exact way to tame them, but don’t worry, I’m doing more research! No known photo has ever really been taken of the clingtails, but it’s proven they exist.
