The Welsh word for shield is Darian, so male trainer's name? Also the Welsh word for sword is cleddyf, among other things, but one possible translation for blade is Gweiryn, but I am still looking for a better feminine name. Edit: just found out the Scottish word for sabre is Fios, so maybe Fio for the girl?
