#possibly bad ideas

Someone please start up a peer reviewed Journal of We Were So Wrong In Science (abbreviation: J. Wrong) so people can publish their work when it doesn't pan out. Preferably in multiple fields.

Because when the hypothesis is wrong we learn things and they're important like how the shit doesn't work.

Imagine a whole family of journals called We Were So Wrong In: Field and then the much anticipated We Were So Wrong In Science Annual which collects and reprints the best failures of the year with updates on where those failures led.

Wrongest team to lead to a discovery of gets the Innovators In Trying Again When You're Wrong Award which comes with a hilarious trophy inspired by the Nailed It! trophy and a nice piece of funding.

So anyway that's another one of my "I just won the billion dollar Powerball" projects.

Suddenly desperate for a Bruce/Dick shotgun wedding fic.

Shotgun wedding in the truest sense, with the classic, "oh dear, we fucked, and now have to deal with the consequences of our actions, welp, guess we're getting married" plot. Alfred's actual shotgun walking them down the aisle.

No, I have no idea how it would play out, or even how we'd get to that point, but the idea will not leave me now that I've had it.

a (possibly bad) strategy for getting your new holiday widely adopted: include elements that are easily commercialized like gift giving or decoration. This way you can get the incredible force of commercial messaging on your side in promoting your day.

I’ve had a terrible idea hit me.  The way I made Steve’s shield for the doll was the way I made the door to Bad End for my sister.  It was quick and ...relatively easy...

I could make small things for my etsy should that could be little wall hangings, like flat wall art in felt.  Wouldn’t take many hours to do, and I have the tapestry needle to get the floss through the two sheets of felt so it can hang.

But I have other stuff, literally sitting in front of me, that I can put in my shop that I haven’t yet because I need to finish clear coating it...but felting doesn’t need to be clear coated, and it could be just as mildly 3D as my little castings.

Thoughts?

After lacing myself in (holy shit tying a bow in your own corset is a challenge!) and doing a practice run of Shim Sham, I decided against the corset.

Maybe once the weather cools down again.

in replies to this post, please convince me whether I should or shouldn't take a few animation cels I have and go around giving them new and entirely inappropriate backgrounds by holding them up to various artbooks, posters, etc.

I'm not sure whether this would be amazing or awful. What do you think?
