Jurassic park remake idea: a hallmark-esque movie about two rival park owners, one with feathered dinosaurs and one of classic naked dinosaurs, falling in love (the dinosaurs are genetically engineered inventions so they can make whatever).

The zoo safety mechanisms are high-quality and no one dies.

billibilli seems to be less censored wrt to sexuality than youtube, with their algorithm happily suggesting videos like "lesbians tongue kissing" while if I search for that on youtube, the results are behind a login wall. (If I login, lesbians kissing vids do exist on youtube, but the thumbnails are blurred out, and you need to click through each one)

If only I wanted to watch lesbian tongue kissing videos rather than lectures about defense economics, then I would have a real alternative to youtube.

(might be a good source to find anime/movie clips to link people since the copyright enforcement is weaker)

know how rye started as a wild weed, but to avoid detection developed large seeds just like wheat and became a domesticated crop?

Well, it turns out the same thing has been happening with humans. A particularly clever fungus -- a type of cheese really -- has been imitating human behaviours so well that they went undetected, mostly by being boring background people who do useful labour. They're great employees to be honest; though since they lack a sense of individuality a different one may show up to work each day, all coordinated through their hive mind.

But the bad news is that the fungus people are about 98% of the population now, and they would totally win conflict between the fungus and the humans; but for now, they seem happy to just continue being background characters while leaving us humans in charge?

Being a protagonist is so scary.

I went to college in a town right up against the Canadian border, which led to some interesting economic consequences, since Canada has a lower drinking age than we do in the civilized lands. Not only can 19-year-olds go into Canadian bars, they can go into Canadian strip clubs. As a result, there was a lineup of strip clubs right up against the border, hoping to market to American college students. This grouping of strip clubs was colloquially known as "the Canadian ballet." One particular strip club had the tagline "Where by law... you see it all!" which always struck me as funny.

Are 19 year olds not allowed inside strip-clubs in America? I know that Americans have a high drinking age, but I thought that everyone agreed it was okay for 19 year olds to have sex? Is this because strip-clubs also serve alcohol?

for a government system that sounds suspiciously like "what if twitch chat was running the country?" democracy (even with elements of direct democracy) works quite well.
