I keep having this thought that, (going with the Infinite Knowledge interpretation of D3r’s encounter), the way that the King bestowed the knowledge was by making him live through it all.
The first cells at the bottom of the ocean. Sharks, dinosaurs, early civilizations, authors, all of history, great warriors, kings and poor men, within what we viewed as a mere 15 seconds, D3rlord3 was forced to relive the lives of every being that ever was and ever will be.
He relived the life of a developer of Minecraft itself, relived the life of whoever left that journal in that villager’s house, he’s lived as the King in Yellow himself. He’s even lived Avery’s life, from start to finish, with every little detail.
And when it was finally done, D3rlord3 relived his own life. He was a kid again. He went to school, made friends, got bullied. Played Minecraft for the first time.
Started a strip mine.
Found some strange terrain……
Finally, he comes back to the present. It’s been mere seconds in real time. For D3rlord3, it’s been a billion lifetimes, a trillion years.
If I were him, I’d run the other way too.
