Welp, I've made it this far. Needless to say, I'm impressed with myself. I have my largest following on here ever at around 267 and I love you all!

But also, it's time to update you with my current life story.

So, I just started my 4th semester here at college and I'm still studying music and a minor video game design. A part of me just wants to relish this, go apply for a double major in the full video game design program (which includes animation) because that stuff is interesting. However, I have to admit that I probably won't get out in time if i do that. But I've had a lot of time to think about things like my future. So far, even if I don't make a shit ton of money, I still feel like being a creative tank is all I want to be. Playing more indie games like Bastion and CTHCC and listening to more and more interesting acts like Duran Duran and Prince really got my creative juices going, to the point that I've created a lot more things in the past month than I have in ages.

Of which that reminds me, yesterday, I finished a 9 page chapter in my story, which is a huge accomplishment because I never finish anything. if you guys want a snippet, I can show you guys a paragraph at some point. That is, if I get enough interest conjured from this. BUt it would be nice to get critiques.

BUt my new years resolution still stands: I want to show more people my art. I want to show more people what I do with writing, drawing, worldbuilding, and everything because I found that I feel more comfortable showing a stranger my art than I do someone close to me. This includes family and friends I see all the time. This sort of sickens me, and I want to change that. Maybe I'll get a therapist/counselor with the uni...

Yep, this is about as hi tech gaming as I get--I go to a rudimentary mock up of the Museum of Modern Art and wait in line to sit with Marina Abramovic! ♥em

1000 posts away from my 10,000th post

This marks my 9000th post on this site. Anything beyond this will be over that and I'll steal myself away from the quite flagrant reference I could make here.

I'm shocked that I've been on this for so very long. By the 24th of October, I will have been blogging here for 3 whole years. It so doesn't feel that way but here we are, it seems.

Since it's somewhat of a rare milestone to hit now, assuming it doesn't take me three more years to reach 20k, I reckon I'd mark it with something personal so you can learn a bit more about me. I know you don't want to but just humour me. It'll be over sooner than you think.

So, for those that don't actually read and follow my personal posts or even read the bio page on my blog, my name is Eoin. (Pronounced EE-IN if you're curious) I'm a casual musician with a very unhealthy passion for video games although I've found more recently that the target of my passion is the musical side of things. I play for a ska cover band called The Skababs and we perform in Scotland fairly frequently. I occasionally compose and some of my works can be found on Soundcloud or on YouTube. In fact, my name's unique enough that a search of my name will give you a look into any of my musical happenings or Survivalist antics depending on your taste at time of search.

As you may guess, my sense of humour broadens towards the weird and abstract. While jokes and wit are funny, it's insanity and non-sequitor nonsense that really tickles me. Context and situation are usually not required to make me laugh. In fact, removing something from said context can slay me on the right day. I still am a fan of alternative comedies like Vic and Bob's various works, Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson's antics and many more whose punchlines are not necessary to bring belly laughs aplenty.

Although I strive to make my friends and fans laugh, even as a performer, I am still a few grades too shy for my own good at times. When I started my blog I was somewhat of a recluse hounded by depression and self loathing. But now, three years on and a hundred followers later... little has changed. I am very much still in that despair pit. However, I have found that, through my friends, my followers and my blog there is hope. I've made many friends through this and maintained many other relationships as well. The joy this brings me, along with the content that other Tumblr users provide us with , I feel, has given me hope and kept my spirits well above the confines of the abyss that plagued me before.

So, that's a little bit about me. I want to thank you for actually, seriously reading that. Seriously, top marks for you! I would've stopped after the first paragraph! In all honesty, though, thank you for following me and enjoying the mad shit I post. Here's hoping I don't get all sentimental by post 10,000 and post more life story nonsense you don't care about!
