Connecticon was a lot of fun. I'm glad I pounced on that table. :D There were also MANY adventures, lol. My first assistant had a family medical emergency, so I had to scramble to find a new one and, praise Tinkerbell, the amazing Obi-Wan of cons came through (THAT IS YOUR NAME NOW, ACCEPT IT). We drove in many circles for the hotel and loading dock (it is absolutely something you'd never find unless you'd been there before), our Uber got lost in his own city, we were serenaded with poetry by a bard, bungee cords went wild, I was trapped by my therapist face with drunk dealer's room vendors, the printer was a butt, the power guy nearly took out our neighor's booth trying to set up our power, one if the chairs was so rusted out it broke on us and the pizza arrived with the most BIZZARE slicing we'd ever seen (all we were asking for was a reasonable ratio of slices to pizza - this was madness). BUT We had a good time. :) Autographs were gained - two from Sylvester McCoy (who I also gave one of my 7th Doctor chibi keychains and tbh he is so nice and I enjoyed talking with him) and I also got one from the voice actress for Amethyst (my assistant got her to sign a drawing of Amethyst I was selling)! Also, I saw so many amazing cosplays! There was a GORGEOUS Terra from FF6 that was just so insanely detailed and accurate to the Amano art - I was just blown away. I saw a Hawkgirl with moving wings - aka awesomeness - and there was a fantastic Squirrel Girl (I wish I'd got a picture). There was an amazing light up Midna and wow, just wow. Got a picture of a fabulous Allura and just the DETAIL on her suit - A+! Also there was an excellent Aqualad and I was pleased because no one does Aqualad and COME ON IT WAS KALDUR! :D And also it was nice to be in a quiet vendor/artist only hotel for a con, even if there was a little bit of a trip with the shuttle bus. Worth it for a decent night's sleep and free breakfast, lol.
