So Otakon is now in Washington DC. New location, new venue, and same Otakon vibe. Here’s my take on OtakonDC. It was good, I’ve had a month to really sit down and think about it but I believe it worked out for everyone. The numbers were low compared to last year in Baltimore but I think that’s to be expected with going to a new venue and some attendees unsure as to whether the trip was worth it.…

Otakuthon Day 3

Sorry that this took me a day to post. I tried last night but I kept falling asleep while typing. I went to a panel about Japanese pronouns which, while it obviously couldn't cover everything due to the fact that it was a 45 minute panel, was still informative. I saw the A New World: Intimate Music from Final Fantasy concert which was really good and a lot of fun. I was distracted though because it was 2 hours from the end of the con and my brain got stuck in a loop about that :( Lesson learned for next year - go to an earlier concert! I spent the rest of the day trying to see all the artists and vendors that I had missed and the ones I wanted to go back to. And I bought 3 more prints, 2 charms, a cute little pouch, and a bunch more keychains! Thanks to @francoyovich, ca55i3 (on Twitter), @eecks, viromunchkin (on instagram), @cypritree, melichi (on Twitter), and starbottle (on Twitter). I don't like posting other people's art, but if anyone is curious about what I bought you can see the Last Guardian print I got from francoyovich and the Your Name print I got from ca55i3 in the pictures that they posted of their own booths on their social media.

You’re welcome! :D It’s AWESOME and it deserves all the love! The division between the two worlds of transformed-state and the untransformed state were amazing and it really showed your love for the genre! (I could babble a lot about all the details that just wow, tbh, but suffice to say I love it lots!)
