It is absolutely bonkers to me that there are people out there who expect a grown adult on one online platform to be responsible for the actions of other grown adults on a different platform just because they're friends.

Like, if I'm having beef with the behavior of someone acting grody on a platform and say something about it, it's fundamentally insane to punish my friend on another platform for it just cause the grody ass person I'm pointing out is on that other platform, too.

I'm grown. I make my own evaluations about behavior I see on the platforms I frequent. I may ask friends if they are seeing the same things I am or if I know they might be able to provide additional context, e.g. having personal experience with that individual, but they have no say in what I say about it, nor do I have say in what they may say.

Not all of my friend groups overlap, but most of us do have pointed opinions about exploitative behavior and will independently call it out.

If my friends or I see a problem person, we're gonna say something.

Point blank, period.

Wow, so the GWEE discord server banned someone cause of actions that we, friends of, took regarding a person who is and has been actively and publicly an issue...

Actions taken on Tumblr FFS, largely about behavior observed on Tumblr and IRL, not the server itself (which apparently wasn't good either, yikes, lol).

Actions, mind, that boil down to mostly blog posts and one of us confronted problem person directly in asks about an actual IRL theft and their history of grifting people.

So, anyway, these ding-dongs are really out there in this year, 2026, banning someone for something their friends said on a whole separate ass platform about a person who is being a genuine ass problem on that other platform and IRL.

What the fuck is their issue? Why are they using the blog posts of people who aren't even in the fucking discord server and not even commenting on shit going on there as justification to ban someone?

I confronted him to shrink his pool of potential victims. I got that done. All that matters to me. My hands are clean if he fucks someone in the fandom over when it comes to money. He's lied so much he can't even keep them sorted out. Like we're not dumb. It took seconds to search and find the traced photo source for his stolen "art." There were watermarks. Zero effort needed. Turns out the person that's qualitatively been demolishing certain tags in the GW fandom with traced art (traced from things that definitely aren't fair use, stock or stock that is actually pay for use) also stole FOOD from a roommate.
