IGN's second son review
After giving it an 8.7 out of 10... I'm not sure. They did state the Karma system is very black and white. Um... It's karma, there is no grey area, there's only good or evil, if there was neutral Delsin wouldn't be involved at all... It also said that to be evil just means you 'have to kill everyone in sight' Actually, no. Your powers evolve to be more reckless. Not fucking forcing you to kill people to have fun! I like the diversity. Also the fact the Karma system has been fleshed out to 6 levels, introducing Protector, Paragon, and True Hero. And then the evil ones which escape me. And that you can be more selective about your power upgrades. Blast shards don't just increase your power storage, because you have 4 different tanks to manage, they improve power energy consumption and or how they function from fundamentals, to drastically changing your play style. I'm not going to say that IGN are pulling another 'it's not an FPS therefore it's shit' I simply think that because it's a very anticipated game, and the newest iteration of the series in the next gen, as well as a brand new character, setting. And powers, I think it's maybe taking a minor stumble, but I'm sure the sequel will fix any "issues" and add some new power types and make our gorgeous piece of akomish arse Delsin Rowe even stronger than he is already
