These festivals... the people had been celebrating her triumph over the fell dragon ever since. The exalt attended many of them, showing the respect she had for her people. Now? Now she found herself leaning up against a stone wall, her mug falling out of her hand as she knelt down, coughing. She was only trying to be polite, accepting that special brew, Dragon’s Breath they called it. Her throat was on fire, and her head was spinning. Gods, they went over the top with festivities.
The young woman picked herself up, struggling to stay on her feet as she stumbled around. She needed to find her mount, but her mind as well as her legs were wandering. Iris soon found herself stumbling straight into the arms of some stranger. She held herself there, looking the other in their eyes. “Guh... M-muh b-bad.”
