A pious predecessor once said:

“When a person sincerely worships Allah in the month of Muharram, then Allah will bless him with the ability to carry on doing ‘Ibadah the rest of the months.

And if a person sins in this month, then he will carry on committing that sin the rest of the months and it will be hard for him to stop.”
