hi!! so I love your fic don't call me baby, and I had a question about it. It's not about an update, take all the time you need with that! but I was wondering how old shiro was. it seems like he is a bit older than keith obvi, plus he is a veteran, but they also roomed together in college right? so I was curious about how old he was! unless that's spoiler territory and you're gonna talk about that later in the story afjsdlfs

the answer is not a spoiler! i kept their og canon age difference for this fic since it was plotted long before keith’s s6 glo up. which means that as of the start of dcmb, keith is 20 and shiro is 26 turning 27. (like, he turns 27 in chapter two.)

many previously enlisted veterans will end up going to college in their late twenties or early thirties using whatever benefits they got during their enlistment. (college tuition and a living stipend is a fairly common signing or re-up bonus. this is especially true if the soldier has the kind of asvab score required to get into ranger school, which shiro did!) a non zero number of single soldiers who previously lived in the barracks will choose student housing out of familiarity. (admittedly, most do not choose student housing for a variety of other reasons, but i needed them to be roommates so.) the more you know!

looks like my blog got fucked w on my side of things, though. my icon and background image seem to have been rolled back to their previous default states. and when i try to look at my own blog, i can’t seem to get past a safe mode feature or somethin’ so i can’t even really check what’s still there or not without having to manually scroll through every single post i ever put up there... so that’s cool.
