I wondered if u'll do an after ray's route drabble, where mc decides to be just friends with Saeran. Not bc she doesn't like him that way, but bc she thinks it will be healthier for him to concentrate on living for himself. Not a breakup more like postponing starting anything romantic for awhile. Idk but a lot happens/changes in short span of time ....i dont see anyone else exploring an option like this but this would be what i would do... Thanks in advance & I love everything u write

She wasn’t sure what she was doing. Since they’d found Saeyoung and gotten him settled back into everyday life, she found herself avoiding Saeran more.She knew that she needed to talk to him, but she was afraid.
She wasn’t sure exactly where she and Saeran stood relationship wise. There were a lot of things that made her unsure about that. She didn’t want to hold what he’d said in Mint Eye against her, but she was afraid.
What if what was going on now was still that lingering obsession? Would she really ever know the way things were now?
She told herself that he needed to focus on rebuilding his life, and finding out who he was, away from his tormentors.
She’d been in her apartment, curled up, idly trying to figure out how to respond to Saeran’s last message, when there was a knock at her door. She opened it, to find Saeran standing nervously on the other side.
“Can... I come in?” He asked her, and she bit her lip. She finally nodded, stepping back from the door.
“We need to talk anyway.” She said as he walked past. Without saying anything, they both went into the kitchen and she made him a glass of tea.
“So...” Saeran started awkwardly, “I haven’t seen you in a bit.”
“That’s what we need to talk about.” She said quietly. He stared at the mug in his hand.
“Please. Don’t leave me.” Saeran whispered quietly, and she felt her heart begin to break.
“I’m afraid.” She said quietly. “I want you to know who you are before you decide that I’m what you want. That you want me because of me and not just... because I’m here. Cause I stayed around...”
“You... I want you. I’m more confident about that than anything else in my life.” Saeran said, looking back up to her, gaze firm. “Why... why would you even say that?”
“You deserve everything. And things have happened so quickly, have you even had the chance to breathe?” She squeezed her mug tightly in her hands. “I want you to be able to figure that out. Even if that means me stepping back.”
“Don’t.” He mumbled, eyes sliding shut. “You are a part of me. Because I care about you. Because I love you. I want you with me. Please don’t leave me.”
“I...” She bit her lip. “I’m not leaving you. I just want to take things slow. Like super slow, so you can figure out what you want.”
“So dating?” He asked her.
“Yeah. That sounds good.” She said quietly. Saeran’s face broke into a smile.
“I can do that.” He leaned back and huffed. “You scared me.”
“Sorry about that.” She mumbled. “I wasn’t sure how to go about it.”
He was silent for a moment, and suddenly stood, walking around to her side of the table. He took her hand, pulling her up. “Would hugging be okay?”
“Yeah.” She she said, tucking herself into his chest. She sighed quietly. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too.” Saeran laughed slightly, pressing his face into her hair. They stood there silently, enjoying each other’s company after their time apart. He finally sighed. “I guess I should go home soon. Saeyoung is going to wonder where I am.”
“I’ll see you soon?” She asked him. He smiled, and let her go, squeezing her hand as he went.
“It’s a date.”
