Almost 2 months post-accutane

Soo, my hair now has to be washed every day again. What a sad time. Well, it was good while it lasted!

Also, I've noticed my t-zone getting oily again. No where near where it used to be pre-accutane. My face used to be completely saturated with oiliness, it was gross. Now, it's really only the t-zone, and not even that bad. It's still a little bit sad to feel it getting oily again, but I know that it's way better than it used to be!

My lips, on the other hand, are so happy. Hardly chapped, just normal lip chapping. I am so so happy for that to be done with. 

Yep, i think that's all! I would upload pictures, but my phone is being a little asshole right now, haha. Aaaand I have homework to do, so I should probably get on that.

One month (+4 days, oops!) Post-Accutane!!!

Hello friends! I realized as I sit here unfortunately early waiting to leave for my first voice lesson of the semester that I never did a month post update on Friday, the 16th!

So, here we are! First of all, the lip situation is LEAPS better than it used to be. Still a little dry, but probably because it’s winter. Regular chapstick alone helps now! I’d say my lips started to soften up again about a week post and improved from there!

Hair. This is the saddest part. My hair on Accutane was luscious and healthy looking and I washed it once every 4 days. Now it gets oily by the roots after a day, sometimes a day and a half. And it’s flat as hell!! It does this when there are changes it’s getting used to, so hopefully it gets better as time goes on? Also, I think it has grown immune to my current shampoo.

I FINALLY GOT MY EYEBROWS WAXED! Thank God! After 6 months of not having them done, that was like BLISS. **DISCLAIMER: i don’t know how long you’re supposed to wait after to get waxed. I waited until the month mark. I also go to a brow specialist who knowwws her brow wax and has super sensitive wax she can use on me, and she was ALSO on Accutane. My skin around the brows was a little irritated, but nothing out of the norm. I may have had a reaction, cause i broke out a tiny bit in that area later. But it’s gone down. I wouldn’t recommend just popping in to the nail salon to get your brows waxed, though, unless your derm says “yaay, go ahead!” (Just like that.)

Other than that, my scars are still goin’ strong, but i’m fine with that for now. It’s so much better than where i started, and i am so incredibly glad I did this! I hardly ever wear makeup anymore. Unless i feel like it! I loveeeee makeup, but i’m lazy and i’m happy about my new skin, so there! Hahah :D

Routine: Post-Accutane.

Removing make-up: First I use the make-up remover 'Neva', then I either clean my face with Yves Rocher Nutritive Make-Up Remover, or 'Noreva'. Both are GREAT. 

Cleansing: I use Soskin gentle gel. It's great cause it reduces the sebum since now my skin is back to oily. 

Night Cream: I use Soskin Whitening Brown Spots W+ every night, I apply it all over the dark spots.

Mask: I use Dépiwhite mask twice a week and It's meant to reduce the brown spots too. 

Sun-Cream: I use Anthelios XL cause It's GREAT, GENTLE AND TINTED. I use it every morning before the foundation.

Foundation/Spots Correcter: I never changed my foundation, It's Vichy Foundation and I use Yves Rocher Corrector. 

Lipstick: Uriage for chapped lips.
