Hi I hope you are well and I come with mermaid!jack meeting fe while he's at the beach. Fe wandered off to the cliffs and climbed down to a small puddle bc he saw something glimmering. Turns out it was the fin of jack chilling half out of the water. At first he's scared to see a human but soon he sees fe means no harm.
fuck i didnt see this why sorry haha
i love this AAA mermaid!jack is my kink
-”you’re a mermaid.” “no shit. you’re a human” “no shit.”
-”my name’s jack” “oh” “what do you MEAN OH” “i thought you’d have some cool underwater name” “are all humans this stupid”
-both of them asking a bunch of questions bc jack has no idea what its like to be a human and holy shit can i touch your legs???? and felix wants to know how he breathes underwater (gills. my mermaid!jack has gills) and can i touch your tail???
-jack being super nervous and constantly looking over his shoulder bc he knows he’s not supposed to be at the surface, much less be talking to a human. and extremely hot human at that
I got a few pots of succulents recently so what about eth having to leave for a home trip or something and asking ty to keep an eye one his plants. So ty really tries and gets all this fancy stuff for plants like fertilizer and such and reads up a shitload of facts on how to care for the plants. Long story short, when eth comes back, ty's entire room is filled with new succulents and cacti bc he fell in love. Sweet pricky love 🌵 ~🐝
hhhhhh i hope u like Pining and Unrequited Feelings bc that’s what!!!! i accidentally wrote!!!!!
He shouldn’t be surprised when Ethan asks him to housesit while he’s away. Sharing an apartment for more than a couple of months was bound to put Tyler high up on the list of people that Ethan could choose from to check up on his new place. Amy or Kathryn both being a close second, Mark somewhere near the bottom, Ethan had jokingly said. Chica was even higher up on the list than him.
Tyler had happily obliged when Ethan came to him about the issue of watching over some small houseplants for the next week or two. For a close relatives birthday back in Maine? He wasn’t entirely sure. It was simpler than he thought, apparently just to water the succulents every other day, the normal ones every day if it was possible between whatever schedule Tyler had, and the cacti was once or twice the whole time Ethan was gone. He assured the boy that yes, his plants are in safe hands and yes, Mark wasn’t going to set foot in his new apartment and wished him a safe trip.
It was pretty easy the first few days. The plants stayed their original colour and watering was an easy task that took ten minutes max, including the short travel distance.
They did fit in nicely with the furniture; small, sleek black drawers as a bedside table with a small domino cactus - the name was the easiest Tyler could remember because of its organised white dots - tucked in front of a slightly larger lamp, sat upon a small dish for any unabsorbed water. Several green and pink flushed succulent upon the window in the joint kitchen and living room space. A small sprouting houseplant accompanied by a plain cactus in his recording room. Tyler wished he got to tell Ethan how great it all looks and how well he’s settled into his new place already.
(There’s a bitterness in how well they could’ve settled in well together, but it’s small enough to push back down. Ethan’s allowed to be independent, he thinks, and staying with Tyler again is one of the choices he chose to politely decline.)
The third day along, the plants start to look slightly peakish in colour. It sends his stomach sinking and nervousness beats in his chest. Ethan sang praises about his plants before he left, how much he loved them and how proud he was of himself for keeping them so healthy. Tyler can’t just ruin them with whatever he’s doing to them.
That evening, sat on Ethan’s pale grey couch and an episode of whatever sitcom was on TV softly murmuring softly as background noise, his laptop sat on the cushion in front of Tyler and an order for specialised cacti and succulent fertiliser was placed for the next day.
And thankfully, by the beginning of the second week of Ethan’s absence, the plants had turned their original colour, looking perhaps even better than before Ethan left. He watered the few houseplants in the apartment and promptly left. There’s no need to make himself at home when the blue-haired boy is due back by Thursday, especially when it’s not where Tyler stays now; it’s Ethan’s apartment, what he calls home, where he has only plants for company and nobody else.
(He could’ve been here too. He could’ve picked out some plants of his own and bought that fertiliser much sooner for their plants, helped pick furniture for their apartment, bicker over what colour their sheets could be and know that he would let Ethan pick eventually.)
Tyler sees one while stocking up for his dinner he planned to have the next few days. It’s a deep green with a pale red bulb sat almost unnaturally atop it. There are smaller orange bulbs circling the top, flowers beginning to sprout from its top. The label reads ‘Moon Cactus’ in simple, bold letters. He itches down whatever voice that’s telling him it’s all for his affection, his praise, his undying love that’s he’s buying it as an addition to the several others Ethan has.
Eventually, he buys a small peace lily that’s barely unfurling its leaves, let alone sprouting flowers yet, and buys the cactus for himself. Anything to stop himself from thinking too much into it.
(And it does stop him from thinking too hard, for a day or two. It doesn’t stop him from thinking that there’s just over a day before Ethan comes home.)
The peace lily eventually sits atop the kitchen counter. Tyler doesn’t want to be placing it somewhere Ethan doesn’t want it, if he even wants it. He’s thankful it blocks the view of the fridge and the several photos of Ethan, Brian and G, group photos of everybody he works with, Ethan and Chica, Ethan and Tyler.
The other plants are still healthy, and the moon cactus patiently sits in front of him on Ethan’s coffee table. Several tabs on simple tips to keep his plants healthy for several years are open on his phone and the moon cactus is the unwilling victim on small tests that people claim work wonders on blooming the flowers.
(They do work, and by Wednesday evening, one of the several orange bulbs have unfurled to reveal baby pink petals curling upwards. There’s an ache in his chest when he thinks about that small peace lily on top Ethan’s kitchen counter, the slightest hints of fresh green leaves emerging from stems. Maybe he should’ve done something to speed up that plants growing process too. Ethan would have liked that.)
Just as promised, Ethan does return on Thursday sometime in the afternoon. He doesn’t realise Ethan’s texted him in the middle of watering the plants until he’s actually home with a grin and it’s hard to push back the feeling of familiarity of him coming through the door. It’s not Tyler’s home, it’s not where he goes at the end of the day, Tyler’s not in Ethan’s idea of home.
“You big softie, Ty,” Ethan had mumbled into his shoulder when he spots the peace lily. Tyler tries not to let his arms linger around the other in the hug he’s greeted with. “I knew you had a heart somewhere in there.”
He feels hurt initially - he’s hurt that Ethan doubts he can be nice, doubts that he can love, essentially - but one glance at that big grin of Ethan’s, at the tender look in his eyes when he explains he used fertiliser to help his plants grow, the thank you and promise of being treated lunch sometimes for housesitting, he can’t help but nod and let a fake smile take over.
(He does get lunch from Ethan the next day and the moon cactus now sits in the office, which Ethan fawns and croons over constantly. Tyler can’t stand to have it in his own home anymore. But the ache never leaves his chest while he’s making dinner that evening when he thinks of how he could be cooking for two. Instead, it’s just him and the moon cactus, flowers blooming one after another to keep itself company, while Tyler’s left alone.)
Google doesn't have an understanding of human limits in the beginning so the first time he has sex with mark its rough and hot and mark crumbles within minutes but google keeps going until mark is drooling mindlessly and is so far gone he can't see.
cries
mark keeps begging for more even if google is giving him what he asks for, and mark is so needy so he continuously grinds down weakly just to try and get more
But what if mermaid!jack is sad bc he cant go back to his under water home bc of mean parents who dont understand his interest and general non-hate towards humans? And Fe offers him to come with him and in night action he hurles jack out of the water and carries him to his house into his giant bathtub. I need domestic mermaids 😭
i love this
-felix ends up just spending hours on the edge of the bathtub talking to jack and refuses to leave the bathroom
-also fe being nervous about getting in with jack bc he doesnt wanna sit on his tail or anything and what if he hurts him?? and jack is just rolling his eyes bc felix is apprehensive about everything
-there’s a lot of leg/fin touching between the two of them
Project Runway!!! God, I miss that show!! And I'm living for this au. Like imagine some douchbag being mean to fe while hes working and jack just sits there on a table with one leg over the other, filing his nails while he waits and he just looks at the dude then over at his stuff and just verbally tears them to shredds. Don't mess with the sass ~🐝
YES YES I LOVE
-and it’d totally floor felix bc here he was thinking jack was a quiet boy and all of the sudden he just delivers this massive pile of absolute sass and goes back to waiting for felix while everyone kinda just stares at him
*GASP* Designer!felix has a down in his creative phase and then he finds a new muse (jack) and AAAAARRRGG think of all the pretty cloths or jewellery 😍
OH MY GOD YES AMEN
-like jack is working for a different company? or maybe isnt even employed and felix somehow finds him and BEGS jack to work with him bc he’s so inspired by him
-and he just gets the sudden burst of inspiration to make things and is super happy, and jack and him just throw ideas around aAAA
*cracks fingers* Let's just think about Eth and Ty lying in bed in the morning, the mood is easy and soft and Eth wakes up to Ty having his arms wrapped around his middle, so he carefully pulls them off and when he sits up to go get breakfast he feels the strong arms back around his waist, pulling him back and a sleepy Ty murmuring a quiet "No, me want cuddles!"
y'all treat me so good is2g
ethan is so sleep dazed and his eyes hurt and he’s hungry tbh so he REALLY wants food, but tyler so soft n warm and keeps giving him these lazy kisses into his hair that he gives up and lets himself relax for a bit longer uwu
