Hi I hope you are well and I come with mermaid!jack meeting fe while he's at the beach. Fe wandered off to the cliffs and climbed down to a small puddle bc he saw something glimmering. Turns out it was the fin of jack chilling half out of the water. At first he's scared to see a human but soon he sees fe means no harm.

-jack being super nervous and constantly looking over his shoulder bc he knows he’s not supposed to be at the surface, much less be talking to a human. and extremely hot human at that

in the context of the H2O AU he got turned into a mermaid while he was playing hockey in the rink during a full moon. He went to shower and the next thing he knew he fell over and his legs were gone and he had a tail. Not the best backstory, I know, but I didn’t really put too much context into it (yet)

Anyhow Jack has to keep this a secret now which is hard when Shitty is his best friend. Before Bitty, Jack was almost caught by Shitty quite a few times. When they both moved into the Haus, Jack HAD to tell Shitty, because then they shared a bathroom and that meant Shitty was gonna find out eventually anyway

Shitty was a little disbelieving until Jack showed him and then he was all “brah, i’m like, so fucking glad you told me this, but jesus fuck that thing is huge and brightly colored for a guy like you” and this is quite the deviation from the show because i’ve also firmly believed that mermaids embodied different fish (and i still haven’t figured out what fish Jack is)

so the rest of their time at Samwell is Shitty and Jack keeping Jack’s secret (And Ransom keeping Holster’s secret but that’s for a different post)

Jack the mermaid has very unstable powers in the beginning too. I’m using @birbclub‘s tags for their power designations lol; #best show ever omg!!!!!#nursey has ice powers; re: chill#holster gets kinetics#and Jack gets heat; even if he comes across as frosty#his heart is warm 😘#this is amazing#cp

I like the idea of Jack having heat based powers as opposed to ice because once you get past the icy exterior he really is a warm guy.

anyway Bitty is introduced and things follow canon (ya know, aside from having to hide the fact that he’s a mermaid from Bitty as well as his powers, which is kind of hard when he starts falling for Bitty because he does accidentally burn him once or twice, all while in the kitchen so Bitty thinks he got burned by the oven and didn’t realize it). There’s also hella shenanigans

But what if mermaid!jack is sad bc he cant go back to his under water home bc of mean parents who dont understand his interest and general non-hate towards humans? And Fe offers him to come with him and in night action he hurles jack out of the water and carries him to his house into his giant bathtub. I need domestic mermaids 😭

-felix ends up just spending hours on the edge of the bathtub talking to jack and refuses to leave the bathroom

-also fe being nervous about getting in with jack bc he doesnt wanna sit on his tail or anything and what if he hurts him?? and jack is just rolling his eyes bc felix is apprehensive about everything 

-there’s a lot of leg/fin touching between the two of them

The idea of Jack being a salmon is one of the best things I’ve seen all day. And now I’ve got thoughts of Jack the Salmon being unable to eat it and the only person who knows why is Shitty who’s just like “I know brah” and as a show of solidarity he doesn’t eat it either
