Disclosures || [Morrigan & Elissa]
Morrigan had not seen a great deal of Elissa in the months since she had gone to see the assassin at the Hanged Man. They had spoken enough that Morrigan was aware that the acute question of whether or not Elissa’s relationship with Gamlen Amell would continue had been resolved favorably, but little beyond that, and a great deal had occurred in the interim.
A very great deal.
The witch had mentioned Anders in that conversation months ago, though not by name, and not with any explicit assumption that more would come of that connection than the friendship that had already been built. Now, within the space of a week, that connection had claimed its true place in her life – a place which, in hindsight, it felt as though had been there from the beginning – and she had taken up residence at the clinic. This information was not the sort of thing Morrigan was inclined to believe was strictly necessary to formally disclose, but she knew Elissa, and Elissa would want to be told, would be hurt if left to find out through some other means than Morrigan herself. As little as that would matter to the witch with anyone else save Anders himself, it did matter with Elissa.
And so the day she finished unpacking the last box of computer equipment in the space that would become her new office, Morrigan sent her former lover and best friend a text message.
It has been some time since last we spoke, and I have news I would share. Meet me for coffee, perhaps tonight?
