ATP, I'm just gonna block anyone who doesn't credit their stim gifs. If they can't see my posts, they can't source gifs from them - though they still will be able to yoink gifs from boards made by others. Oh, well.

While I don't have a solid DNI, as having one never stops people from interacting with me (in my experience), I can and will block people who I don't like.

If you want my opinion on an issue, you can ask.

But I will say this: certain problematic communities really have an issue with properly crediting their stimboard gifs, smh.

I've found that simply using the inbuilt screen recording in OneUI on my phone instead of using YouTube's clipping system makes for a far easier and more efficient method of grabbing bits of a video to make into gifs.

That way, I can pause and resume the recording at will and put all the gifable stuff from one video into one file.

I wish there was a markdown editor on Tumblr's mobile app.

Tried out a new method of batch converting from mp4 to gif using command-line ffmpeg. It was a bit of a pain to get it working, but... I did make it work! I was able to batch convert an entire folder of mp4 files. I did accidentally corrupt some of my mp4 files - but that's okay, I have backups.

Feel free to point out if I've forgotten alt text, or suggest how my alt text can be improved. I use Mastodon fairly often and thus it's typically instinct for me to add alt text - but I don't always get things right!

Have I GIF'd a creator who doesn't like being GIF'd? Please let me know so I may delete gifs I've made of their content.
