Facebook “add friend” feature. After reading Adam’s article discussing how different our relationships are online relative to our offline life, i was reminded that Facebook put all people in my life in one category “Friends.” My family, colleagues, primary friends, temporary friends, and the butcher across my apartment can all see, view, comment on all my posts unless i filter them out one by one. I would like to be able to categorize my contacts in a painless way that allows me to control who sees my posts, who can comment on them without trying to iterate through all my contacts every time and filter them out. The lack of this feature causes frustration and decreases the efficiency of use for the site. I strongly advise Facebook to allow “contacts” categorization just like the one Google Circle has!
