RR Novel, IH sketch. Insulting.
You see, I’ve been trying to make sense of the IH pair and try to find out the possible reason behind why Kubo made them canon. But the evidence is just not enough, I do realise that Kubo always let RR work together and separate Ichigo and Rukia for such a looong time, so during those times Orihime was always beside Ichigo but…Ichigo never give a damn, I mean if Kubo really want us to accept the pair, he could’ve made Orihime look attractive or she had a scene being under the rain with Ichigo under the same umbrella you knooow the same cliche romantic shoujo scene but he never made it happen, instead Ichigo legit ignore Orihime when he lost his power. I meaan he could’ve go on a date while Rukia was gone, but did he? Do share when Orihime ever give Ichigo useful motivation talk? cause I cant remember any. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is.. it’s more than obvious that Kubo intentionally made all those sweet romantic deep moment between Ichigo and Rukia, especially the parallelism of MasakixIsshin. We dont need to dig deep into this relationship, IT WAS JUST SO OBVIOUS! The moments that Ichigo and Rukia had, she never had it with Renji. Same goes to Orihime. That is why all of this is just insulting. Kubo should have known that the fans/readers expect that IchiRuki would become canon, heck, HE INTENDED IT, so he has ZERO RIGHTS to make it not canon, he has ZERO RIGHTS to rush IchiHime to become canon in the last chapter, he has ZERO RIGHTS to be supporting a novel explaining how RR and IH happened when he spent YEARS developing IR, deepen their bonds, deceiving fans to believe him that the protagonists were Ichigo and Rukia where he didnt draw Rukia as much as he drew in SS arc. Nope, he didnt love her anymore. He didnt respect her anymore. What the heck was “the love and destiny that Ichigo inherited” while displaying the moment where Masaki rushed to Isshin while he’s lying on the ground while the rain was pouring, had to do with IH being canon? As I recall, that scene was too identical with when Ichigo lost concious and was on Rukia’s lap while the rain was pouring. I mean, all of this were drawn by Kubo’s own hand. He should’ve known that these things made people think that IR will be real and the “Yo, I’ve come to rescue you”. I dont really like how characters are paired just because of a reason that they are identical to their loved ones or their hair color is the same, I mean, in the case of Ichigo, the reason is because Orihime’s color is orange and she looked like his mother, YOU MARRIED A WOMAN NOT YOUR MOTHER! I admit that Kubo is a mangaka that is artistic (used to be), it’s just doesnt suit him to make the pairing so obvious as to make the hair color the same… so the pair is kind of boring and cliche. I thot Kubo didnt like cliche things but oh well, he changed.
