Thank you so muchhh for the tag @thebramblewood ❤️ It's amazing to see all our individual growth on this platform, so I want you guys to take a moment to think of when you first started. All progress is progress, big or small, and you should all be proud of yourselves! Let's start reflecting on my simblr progress, lots of rambling as usual (original is here btw)

AUG 2022 - DEC 2022 (gen 1 life)

The first gp I posted was Postcard Legacy! I was a lurker of many sim stories and legacies for a year and finally had the courage to post my own. This legacy was the one I decided, to explore all packs, and I started with rags-to-riches + eco lifestyle with Felix 🥺 And what a start it was LMAO. I knew very little about Tumblr functions/editing, a total beginner at gshade and was winging it the whole gen, taking stupid pics of my sims. But weren't we all at the start? 😂

JAN 2023 - FEB 2023 (gen 2 uni)

The shenanigans kept up when my second gen, Bryce, was at uni. Stupid pics…PLENTY. Storytelling was 10% more serious AHAHAHA!!!! I also started writing dialogue and I was SO FUCKING nervous thinking everything was cringe and wanting to hide whenever I posted it (still do smh 😂). Above was how my dialogue used to look hehe

FEB 2023 - JUL 2023 (gen 2 life)

Fun stuff was happening when my heir moved to Sulani. I say it became 15% storytelling, but the majority was still gameplay. It was also when I featured more of my friends' sims, which the first time doing so, is super memorable ❤️ Pictured on 2nd pic is Levi by @/estah and Leilani and Leif by @/duusheen (who has been stuck with me coming 4 years WHAAAT 🫩🥹🫶). I got more out of my comfort zone with writing dialogue as I started writing Renee's diary and editing wise was still winging it with cropping in-game moodlets.

AUG 2023 - OCT 2023 (gen 3 teen)

When my gen 3, Renee, was a teen, I switched on my serious brain 🤓 I had a whole storyline planned out since she was born and wanted to give details relevant to the plot as she was growing up. Dialogue was more frequent and I was experimenting with how I liked it to look. This is how it looks today, I love the consistency!!

JUN 2024 - NOV 2024 (gen 3 backstory)

One of my biggest achievements was writing Vincent's backstory. The backstory was a real turning point in how my posts look and how I approach my posts (if you care it's: plan - write - build/prepare scenes - dress sims - pose or play - take pics - edit). My favourite thing about making posts is seeing my ideas come to life, the above 2 pics are my fav scenes! I learned a lot of new things about my storytelling abilities, cinematic side of screenshots and my confidence grew so much 🥰

2023 VS 2024 (comparison)

Gshade-wise, I had my share of gshade crisis and tweaking the settings when you don't need to 😂 This is the comparison from a year apart because I remade some of the scenes for the backstory. I started editing my screenshots too by adjusting brightness, contrast etc. Then, adding light leaks if I felt like it 🙂 Also started using SRWE, so my pics are crispy. Yeah…a lot of behind-the-scenes for an update now. One 4 pic post could take several days to prepare, with doing a bit each day. Perfectionist me makes it longer than it should though…

NOV 2024 - MAR 2025 (gen 3 life)

I remember this time was when relight became a thing in the Simblr community. Using PSDs was also popular as they were released! This was when I practiced editing and learning more features on Photopea. Also, you may notice there's a cohesive colour scheme to my posts (so the colours complement each other, nothing clashes too much when I decide outfits/deco). And the warm feel to most of my posts 🌞 Or the detailed scenes I like to make. I feel that's my signature style for this blog! Anyway, this is pretty much how my posts look today 🤩

AUG 2025 - PRESENT (cornucopias)

I will stop yapping now, but that is my progress throughout the years!! I'm still learning new things every day, with the most recent challenges tackled being pose making and gifs 💪 Editing is something I'm still exploring with new methods and I have found my consistent style with it. I am very grateful to have you following along and thank you to all you incredible people for inspiring me everyday 🫶

Robbie's fall out with Keon

Transcript & Context:

Jayleen: Err can you get out of my way? Stop bothering me.

Keon: Come on let's be friends Jayleen, you know Robbie right?

Robbie: Geez leave her the hell alone Keon.

Keon: What? Are you jealous or something?

Robbie: Tch, I'm not jealous, but you are being a massive creep [starts walking away with Keon]

Keon: Lighten up, why are you always so moody and mean?

Keon: You know what, I can't stand you ok? I get why your sister treats you, her weirdo brother as nonexistent at school [shoves harder]. And no wonder your parents don't care about you. Everyone finds you a burden so I suggest you go and sort out your attitude and issues-…[almost gets punched] What the fuck?

Robbie: Shut up.

Keon: You're such a loser to be around, always moody and ruining the good times.

Robbie: Good times You have a sad little life anyway [gets shoved]

Robbie: Why don't you sort out your issues first? Such a pathetic life failing your classes. Failing to get girls' attention. No one is interested in a fucking dumbass like you. Come at me then!

Mickey: Hey hey hey Robbie! STOPPIT MAN! Let's just get out of here.

Jayleen:…Hi Robbie. Are you okay?

Robbie: Mhm [sits in silence]

Context: I left out a lot of unfinished stuff as I wanted to move on and was basically winging most things pre-backstory haha! Now I'll try to make sense of some things below! I hope this is clearer on why Robbie didn't want to talk about Keon last time:

Keon was a bad influence on Robbie. When he said "ruin the good times", he would encourage him to skive school, pick on people for fun and mess around with girls. Robbie was like fuck no, but still considered Keon a friend bc he treated him like someone. As with Mickey, he was a "sidekick" to Keon. Keon always teased him, until Robbie came along, who defended himself (y'know by being mean back like "we're on the same wavelength") and stopped the teasing. It was real low of Keon to mention his family and "having issues" don't you think? Obviously, them being friends messed with Robbie's head manipulating him to believe his family didn't care. So his self-esteem dropped even more and he felt like a bigger disappointment to his parents. And with falling out with Renee, a part of him knew she was right all along with Keon. I never mentioned why, but Renee was looking out for him and didn't want him to get hurt or fall into the wrong crowd.
