Sometimes I wonder which is worse. The actual migraine or the in ń dwaal gevolen, disorientation and blurry vision of the migraine postdrome

So, of course, after sleeping half the afternoon because of my migraine and now riding the euphoria that comes after it's gone, I'M NOT TIRED!

Another few reasons why migraines suck:

-even after they leave you’re still nauseous and shaky

-the body aches and faint headache that linger for hours afterwards

-that festive post migraine depression + brain fog + fatigue blend is a doozy

Migraine days absolutely suck and I hate them. Also am getting to experience my first "migraine hangover" (aka postdrome), so yay? Looked up some stuff about them and came across this delightful little graphic

And like... wtf? I didn't realize there were pre-migraine symptoms?? I thought that was just my other issues acting up? And the extra pain and stress triggered the migraine? But it might actually be the migraine itself causing the flare up???

Like... this is legit making me question my entire medical history... do I actually have XYZ, or has it just been the migraines all along?

(Okay, it's not making me question all of my diagnosis, but is this why none of the insomnia treatments have helped?!?!??)

Postdrome is a miserable stage of migraines. Like, yes, the pain and aura are gone, but my head feels like it’s full of marbles and I’m just really sad and my eyes still won’t focus right. Like, come on, brain, WHY?
