I have a ton of posters and I hate rolling them up and storing them in tubes. Any good ideas on how to store posters flat? I love your blog! Thanks!
Great question! I do have one idea, something I have been meaning to make or my daughter's artwork. Essentially you would be making a custom sized art portfolio.
The basic version is two pieces of corrugated cardboard (boxes) cut to the desired size(s).
Bind them together in the middle using tape (Deco/duct/masking) on both sides so that there is no sticky side. Now you can open it like a book.
Attach a closure of some kind (Ribbons ties, snaps or button etc.) and voila! You have a lat portfolio for your posters.
You can paint it, cover it in fabric or even a couple posters that are not in great shape anymore.
I might be able to find a photo tutorial of what I mean...here you go!
Hope that helps! Thanks for asking another great question! Please send me pictures of what you end up using and/or making! Cheers,M.

As an art student I have a few suggestions. First use foam core if you can, it’s stronger than cardboard and helps keep them flat better. Also leave a good inch or two in between the two pieces when you tape them. It will hold more and close easier.
Thank you!
