Light
They say when you lose the one true love of your life, your whole world ceases to exist. Or that you'll move on eventually.
Right now that was the last thing that was happening. You were still taking in the fact that Peter was dead. Your dad, Tony, had told when he got back from the Thanos' planet. Of course you hadn't believed him because couldn't be dead. He's spiderman. Then you walked out of your apartment to find people turning to dust. Confused, you ran back in to see your dad with a sad and concerned look on his face.
"What's going on? Dad? What's wrong?" You questioned. He just shook his head. You were getting dizzy. You legs crumbled underneath you as you breaths seemed to become scarce. Soon you were a full blown panic attack with you father hovering over you.
Then it was dark. Of course it was, Peter was your light. Now he was gone.
A year later, you come to. There are machines whirling around you, voices murmuring. Familiar ones. You try to open your eyes. No success. Try twitching your fingers. Success. You've gathered your in a hospital.
There's wetness on your hand, warm. Tears. Someones crying for you. A familiar voice sounds through your conscious mind.
"Y/N, listen to me. I'm back. I need you. Wake up. Please." Sobs ensue as your brain tries to process who it is.
Peter.
This happens for a few days. You try and try but fail. Peter comes in, along with your dad, giving you more strength to wake up. That's all you need is their voices.
You stir from your feet this time. A few hours later, your hips can move. Next is your eyes, though not even a second, you open them. You wait for a few seconds. Try again. One second their open. Wait some more. Try again. Open longer. You repeat this process until you can keep your eyes fully open for as long as you like.
Sooner or later, Peter comes in. He sees you awake, stops in his tracks, ghost white face and stares. You smile. He's back.
Now you understand why the world was so bright when you woke up. Peter Parker was back.
