Life Update

Hey, friends! Life threw me some really interesting curveballs this last month. I've spent most of the last two weeks in a hospital waiting room (not for me) or traveling to and from the hospital, so everything was on pause.

I should have let you all know what was up sooner, but here we are. Lack of sleep really does a number on your memory! 😅

Anyway, I hope to put something out in the next few days and to return to the normal update schedule in April.

Going back to the prior hiatus length:

The first few weeks of school have been hectic and I am still trying to find a schedule. In addition, while I am still improving in terms of my bronchitis, teaching means my improvement is slowing down. So while I wanted to update tonight, I think it would be best for my mental health and the quality of my updates if I hold off until the 24th like I originally planned.

Regretfully, tomorrow’s update on Shadow Dancing will be delayed until late tomorrow night/mid-day Saturday. Due to circumstances beyond our control - AKA work and real life - Emma has just finished the edits, and I am too freaking tired to tackle them tonight, plus get the chapter prepped for posting. I apologize to anyone who is waiting for the update, and I appreciate your understanding and patience.

Hey all! We're still busy working on the serial, but apparently somebody forgot to close the work shop door and now lemurs have eaten the scripts.

We'll work some tea magic and get it out tomorrow night!

Delay in posting next chapter of Do Not Go Gentle

My darlings:  it is Thanksgiving week here in the States, and I will be hosting for 28 people on Friday, and there will be a house full of TEN for Wednesday until Sunday, and I am FREAKING OUT WITH STRESS.  (Even though it’s all family, and they’re lovely and chill and bring food, cause I don’t do formal.)  The next chapter is a show-down, and y’all deserve better than me just rushing through it.  I’m giving myself a two-week break, ‘cause now it’s time to go re-read the whole book to be sure I’m covering all my loose ends.

Hopefully y’all can handle it ;)  If I catch my breath sometime this week (unlikely) I’ll post a rec list of underappreciated Sterek gems.

i didn't forget about the fic.

i just haven't been feeling well and i hit the chapter that has been bugging me since the beginning. it's not that it's a bad chapter, but there's a lot going on in it and some parts of it feel clunky to me.

And since i do last minute edits before i post, and this one seems to be demanding more than just some punctuation/grammer/spelling corrections, i've been struggling to find the focus to do that.

I hope to finish my edits tonight and post before bed, or at least tomorrow. but for now, i have to go to work. Wish me luck.

Full disclosure I had to quit my ADHD meds cold turkey because of the pill shortage and therefore won't be able to update tonight. I have my pills now so I should be able to update over the weekend but there's no way in hell I can manage it right now. It's been a hard week.

Unfortunately, I spent today getting involved in party preparations for a party I am throwing tomorrow once I get off work. As much as I hate to do this, I think I won't be able to update until Saturday evening.
